Chinese Ambassador to Pakistan Jiang Zaidong met Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar in Islamabad to discuss regional developments and ongoing diplomatic initiatives. During the meeting, the envoy conveyed Beijing’s “full support and appreciation” for Pakistan’s continued efforts to encourage engagement between Washington and Tehran, aimed at promoting peace and stability in the region.

Separately, Dar held a telephone conversation with Egypt’s Foreign Minister Badr Abdelatty, where both sides emphasized the importance of dialogue and engagement as essential tools for maintaining regional peace and stability. They agreed to remain in close contact as diplomatic coordination continues on key regional issues.

According to official statements, Pakistan has recently gained recognition from multiple countries for its diplomatic role in facilitating communication channels amid rising tensions involving the US, Iran, and Israel. Senior officials from several countries, including China, Saudi Arabia, Turkey, and others, have acknowledged Islamabad’s efforts to support de-escalation.

Meanwhile, preparations are underway in Islamabad for a possible second round of US-Iran talks, with reports indicating that a high-level American delegation may soon arrive. Pakistan has positioned itself as a neutral facilitator, aiming to bridge gaps between the two sides despite ongoing disagreements on sanctions, security, and regional influence.
